Original Water Supply Solutions in Rome
Original Water Supply Solutions in Rome Aqua Anio Vetus, the first raised aqueduct built in Rome, started supplying the many people living in the hills with water in 273 BC, even though they had depended on natural springs up till then. If people residing at higher elevations did not have access to springs or the aqueduct, they’d have to rely on the other existing solutions of the day, cisterns that compiled rainwater from the sky and subterranean wells that received the water from below ground. Starting in the sixteenth century, a new system was introduced, using Acqua Vergine’s subterranean sections to provide water to Pincian Hill. Through its original building and construction, pozzi (or manholes) were located at set intervals alongside the aqueduct’s channel. During the some nine years he owned the residential property, from 1543 to 1552, Cardinal Marcello Crescenzi used these manholes to take water from the network in buckets, though they were originally built for the objective of cleaning and maintaining the aqueduct. He didn’t get a sufficient quantity of water from the cistern that he had manufactured on his residential property to collect rainwater. Fortunately, the aqueduct sat just below his property, and he had a shaft established to give him accessibility. The Broad Array of Outdoor Wall Fountains

With its basin laid on the ground, freestanding wall fountains, or floor fountains, are normally quite big in size.
On the other hand, a fountain attached to a wall can be added onto an existing wall or built into a new wall. This type of fountain adds to a cohesive look making it seem as if it was part of the landscape rather than an added feature.
