The Advantages of Solar Garden Fountains
The Advantages of Solar Garden Fountains
Indoor wall fountains are a superb way to cool your home as well as to provide an enticing addition to your living area. Applying the same methods used in air conditioners and evaporative coolers, they are a great alternative to cool your home. You can reduce your power bill since they consume less electricity.
Fanning fresh, dry air across them is the most frequent way used to benefit from their cooling effect. Either your ceiling fan or air from a corner of the room can be used to augment circulation. The most critical consideration is to ensure that the air is continuously flowing over the surface of the water. The cool, fresh air produced by waterfalls and fountains is a natural occurrence. Merely being in the vicinity of a sizeable public fountain or waterfall will send a sudden chill through whoever is close by. Placing your fountain cooling system in a spot where it will be exposed to additional heat is not practical. If you want an efficient cooling system, it should be placed away from direct sunlight.

Every 3-4 months, garden fountains should undergo a good cleaning. Before you start cleaning, all of the water must be removed. Then use gentle and a soft sponge to clean inside the reservoir. If there are any small grooves, use a toothbrush to reach every spot. Any soap residue that remains on your fountain can damage it, so be sure it is all rinsed off.
Some organisms and calcium deposits can get inside the pump, so it is advised to take it apart and clean it thoroughly. You might want to let it soak in vinegar for a few hours to make it quicker to scrub. Neither rain water nor mineral water contain ingredients that will collect inside the pump, so use either over tap water if possible.
Finally, be sure to have a quick look at your fountain every day and add water if you see that the level is low. Low water levels can ruin the pump - and you do not want that!
