Use a Landscape Fountain To Help Improve Air Quality

Use a Landscape Fountain To Help Improve Air Quality If what you want is to breathe life into an otherwise boring ambiance, an indoor wall fountain can be the solution. Pleasant to the senses and advantageous to your well-being, these indoor features are an excellent addition to your home. The science behind this theory endorses the fact that water fountains can positively affect your health. The negative ions emitted by water features are offset by the positive ions produced by contemporary conveniences. Positive changes to both your mental and physical health take place when the negative ions are overpowered by the positive ions. A rise in serotonin levels is experienced by those who have one of these water features making them more alert, serene and lively. The negative ions emitted by indoor wall fountains promote a better mood as well as remove air impurities from your home. Allergies, air-borne pollutants among other annoyances can be done away with by these water features. Lastly, the dust particles and micro-organisms floating in the air inside your house are absorbed by water fountains leading to better overall health.

Early Water Supply Solutions in Rome

Outside of these aqueducts and springs, wells and rainwater-collecting cisterns were the only technological innovations readily available at the time to supply water to areas of higher elevation. Beginning in the sixteenth century, a unique system was introduced, using Acqua Vergine’s subterranean sections to supply water to Pincian Hill. Throughout the length of the aqueduct’s network were pozzi, or manholes, that gave entry. Whilst these manholes were manufactured to make it less difficult to maintain the aqueduct, it was also feasible to use containers to extract water from the channel, which was practiced by Cardinal Marcello Crescenzi from the time he bought the property in 1543 to his death in 1552. It appears that, the rainwater cistern on his property wasn’t adequate to satisfy his needs. By using an orifice to the aqueduct that ran below his property, he was able to satisfy his water wants.
