Does your home or workplace have a limited amount of space? A wall water fountain is perhaps the best solution for you. They take up no space since they are hung on a wall. Busy entryways in commercial buildings are often adorned with one of these types of fountains. Inside spaces are not the only places to hang a wall fountain, however. Fiberglass and resin are good materials to use for exterior wall water features. Liven up your lawn, patio, or other outdoor space with a water fountain made of these waterproof materials.
Wall fountains are available in a range of different styles, ranging from ultra-sleek to traditional and rustic. The type most appropriate for your living space depends solely on your personal decoration ideas. A city dweller’s decor ideas might call for polished glass whereas a mountaineer might prefer a more traditional material such as slate for a mountain lodge. It is up to you to select the best material for you. No doubt however, fountains are sure to add to your quality of life and delight your family and friends.
The Source of Modern Day Garden Fountains
The Source of Modern Day Garden Fountains Hundreds of ancient Greek documents were translated into Latin under the auspices of the scholarly Pope Nicholas V, who ruled the Roman Catholic Church from 1397 to 1455. It was imperative for him to beautify the city of Rome to make it worthy of being called the capital of the Christian world. At the bidding of the Pope, the Aqua Vergine, a damaged aqueduct which had transported clean drinking water into Rome from eight miles away, was reconditioned starting in 1453. Building a mostra, a grandiose commemorative fountain built by ancient Romans to memorialize the arrival point of an aqueduct, was a tradition revived by Nicholas V. The Trevi Fountain now occupies the space formerly filled with a wall fountain crafted by Leon Battista Albert, an architect employed by the Pope. The aqueduct he had refurbished included modifications and extensions which eventually enabled it to supply water to the Trevi Fountain as well as the renowned baroque fountains in the Piazza del Popolo and the Piazza Navona. The Original Water Fountain Manufacturers
