Keep Your Garden Water fountain Clean

Keep Your Garden Water fountain Clean Water fountains will last a long time with routine cleaning and maintenance. A common issue with fountains is that they tend to accumulate dirt and debris, so it is essential that you keep it free from this. Another factor is that water that is exposed to sunlight is susceptible to growing algae. To avoid this, take vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, or sea salt and add straight into the water. Some people opt for pouring bleach into the water, but the drawback is that it harms wildlife - so it should be avoided.

An extensive cleaning every 3-4 months is recommended for garden fountains. Prior to cleaning, all the water must be removed. Next use mild soap and a soft sponge to clean the interior of the reservoir. A helpful tip is to use a toothbrush if there are small hard-to-reach spots. Do not leave any soap deposits inside or on the fountain.

Make sure you get rid of any calcium or plankton by taking the pump apart and cleaning the inside properly. Letting it soak in vinegar for a couple of hours first will make it much easier to clean. If you want to remove build-up in your fountain, use rain water or mineral water versus tap water, as these don’t contain any ingredients that might stick to the inside of the pump.

And finally, make sure the water level is consistently full in order to keep your fountain running optimally. If the water level falls below the pump’s intake level, it can damage the pump and cause it to burn out - something you do not want to happen!

Characteristics of Outdoor Statues in Archaic Greece

Characteristics Outdoor Statues Archaic Greece 85841701783081.jpg Characteristics of Outdoor Statues in Archaic Greece The first freestanding sculpture was designed by the Archaic Greeks, a notable success since until then the sole carvings in existence were reliefs cut into walls and columns. Most of the freestanding statues were of young, winsome male or female (kore) Greeks and are referred to as kouros figures. The kouroi were considered by the Greeks to typify beauty and were sculpted with one foot leading and an uncompromising firmness to their forward-facing poses; the male statues were always strapping, brawny, and naked. Around 650 BC, life-sized variations of the kouroi began to be seen. The Archaic period was an extraordinary time of transformation for the Greeks as they expanded into new forms of government, formed novel expressions of art, and gained information of the men and women and cultures outside of Greece. Still, these conflicts did little to impede the advancement of the Greek civilization.
