Keeping Your Outdoor Fountain Tidy

Every three-four months, garden fountains should go through a decent cleaning. Before you can start cleaning it you should empty out all of the water. Next use mild soap and a soft sponge to clean the innner part of the reservoir. A helpful tip is to use a toothbrush if there are tiny hard-to-reach spots. Be sure to completely rinse the inner surface of the fountain to make sure all the soap is gone.
Some organisms and calcium deposits can get inside the pump, so it is recommended to take it apart and clean it thoroughly. To make it less difficult, soak it in vinegar for several hours before cleaning. If you want to eliminate build-up in your fountain, use rain water or mineral water versus tap water, as these don’t contain any ingredients that will stick to the inside of the pump.
Lastly, make sure your fountain is always full by checking on it every day - this will keep it in tip-top condition. If the water level falls below the pump’s intake level, it can damage the pump and cause it to burn out - something you do not want to happen!

The Benefits of Solar Outdoor Fountains
The Benefits of Solar Outdoor Fountains Garden wall fountains can be powered in several different ways.
Indoor wall fountains are a superb way to cool your home as well as to provide an enticing addition to your living area. An alternative to air conditioners and swamp coolers, they cool down your home by using the same principles. You can also save on your utility costs because they consume less energy.
One way to produce a cooling effect is to fan fresh, dry air across them. To improve air flow, turn on your ceiling fan or use the air from some corner of the room. It is essential that the top of the water have air regularly blowing across it. The cool, refreshing air made by waterfalls and fountains is a natural occurrence. You will experience a sudden coolness in the air when you approach a sizable waterfall or fountain. Placing your fountain cooling system in a spot where it will receive additional heat is not useful. Your cooling system will be less effective if it is placed in direct sunlight.
