The Use of Garden Fountains As Water Elements
A water feature is a big element which has water flowing in or through it. The broad array of choices available range from a simple suspended wall fountain to an elaborate courtyard tiered fountain. Known for their versatility, they can be used either inside or outside. Ponds and swimming pools are also regarded as water features. Living spaces including extensive yards, yoga studios, relaxing verandas, apartment balconies, or office settings are great spots to add a water feature such as a garden wall fountain. There is nothing better to comfort you while also activating your senses of sight and hearing than the pleasurable sounds of slowly trickling water in your fountain. The most important consideration is the pleasantly eye-catching form they have which complements the interior design of any room. Gently moving water not only leads to a feeling of peace, it also masks bothersome noises and produces a captivating water show.
The Root of Contemporary Wall Fountains
The Root of Contemporary Wall Fountains
Hundreds of ancient Greek texts were translated into Latin under the authority of the scholarly Pope Nicholas V, who ruled the Roman Catholic Church from 1397 to 1455. In order to make Rome deserving of being the capital of the Christian world, the Pope decided to embellish the beauty of the city. In 1453 the Pope instigated the reconstruction of the Aqua Vergine, an ancient Roman aqueduct which had carried clean drinking water into the city from eight miles away. Building a mostra, an imposing commemorative fountain built by ancient Romans to memorialize the arrival point of an aqueduct, was a custom revived by Nicholas V. The architect Leon Battista Alberti was directed by the Pope to build a wall fountain where we now find the Trevi Fountain. The Trevi Fountain as well as the renowned baroque fountains located in the Piazza del Popolo and the Piazza Navona were eventually supplied with water from the altered aqueduct he had rebuilt.
