Keep Your Wall fountain Clean

Keep Your Wall fountain CleanKeep Wall fountain Clean 080090886976163.jpg In order to ensure that water fountains last a while, it is important to perform regular maintenance. It is important to clean it out and get rid of any debris or foreign objects that might have dropped into or onto it. Another factor is that water that is exposed to sunlight is susceptible to growing algae. To stay clear of this, take vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, or sea salt and add directly into the water. Bleach can also be mixed into the water, but this is not an ideal option because it can hurt birds or other animals.

A complete cleaning every 3-4 months is best for garden fountains. Before you start cleaning, all the water must be taken out. When it is empty, scrub inside the reservoir with a mild cleanser. A helpful tip is to use a toothbrush if there are tiny hard-to-reach spots. Be sure to thoroughly rinse the inner surface of the fountain to make sure all the soap is gone.

Make sure you get rid of any calcium or plankton by taking the pump apart and washing the inside carefully. Letting it soak in vinegar for a couple of hours first will make it alot easier to clean. Neither rain water nor mineral water contain substances that will accumulate inside the pump, so use either over tap water if possible.

Finally, be sure to have a quick look at your fountain every day and add water if you see that the level is low. If the water level slides below the pump’s intake level, it can harm the pump and cause it to burn out - something you don't want to happen!
