Keep Your Wall fountain Clean
Keep Your Wall fountain Clean
A complete cleaning every 3-4 months is best for garden fountains. Before you start cleaning, all the water must be taken out. When it is empty, scrub inside the reservoir with a mild cleanser. A helpful tip is to use a toothbrush if there are tiny hard-to-reach spots. Be sure to thoroughly rinse the inner surface of the fountain to make sure all the soap is gone.
Make sure you get rid of any calcium or plankton by taking the pump apart and washing the inside carefully. Letting it soak in vinegar for a couple of hours first will make it alot easier to clean. Neither rain water nor mineral water contain substances that will accumulate inside the pump, so use either over tap water if possible.
Finally, be sure to have a quick look at your fountain every day and add water if you see that the level is low. If the water level slides below the pump’s intake level, it can harm the pump and cause it to burn out - something you don't want to happen!
