Keeping Your Wall fountain Tidy
Keeping Your Wall fountain Tidy Water fountains will keep working a very long time with scheduled cleaning and maintenance. It is important to clean it out and take out any debris or foreign elements that might have gotten into or onto it. On top of that, algae can be a concern, as sunshine hitting the water permits it to form quickly.
A thorough cleaning every 3-4 months is recommended for garden fountains. Prior to cleaning, all the water must be removed. As soon as it is empty, clean inside the reservoir with a gentle cleanser. If there are any tiny grooves, work with a toothbrush to reach every spot. Be sure to completely rinse the interior of the fountain to make sure all the soap is gone.
It is highly suggested taking the pump apart to better clean the inside and get rid of any plankton or calcium. Letting it soak in vinegar for a couple of hours first will make it much easier to clean. Neither rain water nor mineral water contain ingredients that will collect inside the pump, so use either over tap water if possible.
Lastly, make sure your fountain is always full by checking on it every day - this will keep it in tip-top shape. Allowing the water to go below the pump’s intake level, can cause severe damage and even make the pump burn out - an undesired outcome!
