The Many Kinds of Wall Water Fountains
The Many Kinds of Wall Water Fountains Having a wall fountain in your backyard or on a veranda is fantastic when you wish to relax. Even a little space can include a custom-made one. Both the stand alone and fitted versions must have a spout, a water basin, internal tubing, and a pump. Traditional, contemporary, classic, and Asian are just some of the styles from which you can choose. With its basin situated on the ground, freestanding wall fountains, or floor fountains, are typically quite big in size.
On the other hand, a fountain attached to a wall can be integrated onto an existing wall or fit into a new wall. This type of fountain adds to a cohesive look making it seem as if it was part of the landscape instead of an added feature.
Bernini's Water Fountains
Bernini's Water Fountains There are many famed Roman water fountains in its city center. Almost all of them were planned, architected and constructed by one of the greatest sculptors and artists of the 17th century, Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Also a city designer, he had skills as a water fountain designer, and remnants of his life's work are obvious throughout the roads of Rome. Bernini's father, a renowned Florentine sculptor, mentored his young son, and they ultimately moved to Rome, in order to fully express their art, primarily in the form of public water fountains and water features. The young Bernini received praise from Popes and relevant artists alike, and was an excellent employee. He was initially recognized for his sculpture. An expert in classic Greek engineering, he used this knowledge as a foundation and melded it flawlessly with Roman marble, most famously in the Vatican. Though many artists impacted his artistic endeavors, Michelangelo inspired him the most.
