The Use of Outdoor Water Fountains As Water Features
The Use of Outdoor Water Fountains As Water Features
A water feature is one which is a large element through which water flows. There is a broad array of such features going from something as simple as a hanging wall fountain or as elaborate as a courtyard tiered fountain. Given that they are so functional, these decorative elements can be situated either in your backyard or inside your home. Ponds and pools are also included in the classification of a water element. A garden wall fountain can be a beneficial water element to include in any yard, yoga studio, patio, balcony, or workplace. You can relax to the softly flowing water in your fountain and enchant your senses of sight and sound. The most important consideration is the pleasantly beautiful form they have which complements the decor of any room. Gently moving water not only leads to a sense of peace, it also masks irksome noises and produces a captivating water show.
A Chronicle of Outdoor Fountains
A Chronicle of Outdoor Fountains The translation of hundreds of classical Greek documents into Latin was commissioned by the scholarly Pope Nicholas V who led the Church in Rome from 1397 until 1455. He undertook the beautification of Rome to make it into the worthy seat of the Christian world. In 1453 the Pope instigated the repairing of the Aqua Vergine, an ancient Roman aqueduct which had carried fresh drinking water into the city from eight miles away. The historical Roman tradition of marking the entry point of an aqueduct with an imposing celebratory fountain, also known as a mostra, was restored by Nicholas V. The architect Leon Battista Alberti was directed by the Pope to construct a wall fountain where we now find the Trevi Fountain. Changes and extensions, included in the restored aqueduct, eventually provided the Trevi Fountain and the well-known baroque fountains in the Piazza del Popolo and Piazza Navona with the necessary water supply.
