Gian Bernini's Fountains
Gian Bernini's Fountains There are numerous celebrated fountains in Rome’s city center. One of the greatest sculptors and artists of the 17th century, Gian Lorenzo Bernini fashioned, conceived and constructed almost all of them. Also a city builder, he had skills as a fountain designer, and marks of his life's work are evident throughout the avenues of Rome.

The Countless Styles of Wall Water Fountains
The two types of fountains available to you are mounted and stand-alone models. Mounted wall fountains are little and self-contained variations which can be displayed on a wall. Fountains of this kind need to be light, therefore, they are typically fabricated from resin (resembling stone) or fiberglass. Free-standing fountains, often referred to as floor fountains, are sizable, have a basin positioned on the ground and a smooth side which leans against a wall. Water features such as these are ordinarily manufactured of cast stone and have no weight limits.
Landscape designers often propose a custom-built fountain for a brand new or existing wall. Installing the basin against the wall and installing all the plumbing work requires a professional mason to do it properly. A fountain mask or a spout also needs to be integrated into the wall. The unified look provided by customized wall fountains make them appear to be part of the landscape instead of an afterthought.
